A Giving Circle is a group of people who are motivated by their shared values to build an active network that pools their time, talent, treasure and testimony. Among them, they multiply these resources and their scope, giving them to grantees in order to strategically invest in the community.

Roots for Change Giving Circle is made up of a group of people who live around the world with ties to the Chiapas Highlands, committed to examining and disrupting the causes of social injustices, and to cultivating collective actions that advance a more equitable community in the Highlands.

Mission

Roots for Change is an international Giving Circle made up of people with strong connections to the Altos de Chiapas region. We back community-led initiatives by pooling and redistributing treasures to grow Altos community assets, advance justice and build power.

Vision

With open hearts and open minds, we endeavor to plant the seeds that will cultivate a more equitable community in the Altos de Chiapas. This sustainable impact will be rooted in shared experiences and reciprocal relationships with all those involved in order to shift power paradigms.
